On March 27, 2012 DOE issued a notice proposing amended energy conservation standards for Class A external power supplies (EPSs) and new energy conservation standards for non-Class A EPSs and battery chargers. The notice also announces a public meeting to receive comment on these proposed standards and associated analyses and results. The Energy Efficiency Standards group contributed to these analyses.

DOE will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Washington, DC. The meeting will also be broadcast as a webinar. DOE will accept comments, data, and information regarding this notice of proposed rulemaking (NOPR) before and after the public meeting, but no later than May 29, 2012.
